this is a list of nice things in progress

• when someone is just so ecstatic about their work!! and you can feel they really love it
• running your warm hands over the skin of your arms under the yarn of a cardigan
• when you feel like amplifying the volume of a song to check if it could get any more overwhelming than it already is
• when you sleep in the car and the wind makes your face sort of numb and it’s sunny so there are light patterns underneath your eyelids that change the color of everything when you open your eyes
• when the lyrics of a song you thought you had forgotten remain on the tip of your tongue
• searching for someone you love when you arrive at the airport
• colorful and tiny shampoo bottles that you can only use once and won’t get again so you know that you will only smell exactly like this once in your lifetime
• looking at your hands and imagining all the things you could learn
• discovering how to say something you want to say in other language
• trying to figure out the backgrounds of strangers in the airport
• when someone mentions you with no particular reason and realizing that they are aware that you’re there
• having a friendly chat with someone you barely speak to
• fingertips stained with graphite after you’ve written too much
• jumping in a pool with clothes on when it strikes midnight on new year’s day and seeing the fireworks
• someone crying because they’re so happy
• when your pet takes a liking to other animal while you’re walking them
• twisting the song freely when playing the piano and not minding when your fingers slip a bit 
• playing songs you’ve written to people when they don’t know you wrote them and keeping it a secret
• exploring hotels and finding dusty rooms that nobody ever goes to anymore
• hamsters with food stored on their cheeks
• drinking cold water after hot chocolate or tea
• traveling…
• smiling to others for no particular reason
• seeing the hall of a stranger’s house when in the elevator and feeling like you know a bit more about them now
• holding cold hands so they get warmer
• painting on canvas without outlining
• inspiration striking four o’clock in the morning
• people showing you stories they’ve written
• dancing with someone bigger than you 
• when a nice perfume lingers 
• burying your face in someone’s hair 
• tickling
• a big pillow tent full of cozy blankets
• visiting a place that is widely broadcasted and seeing how it is for yourself and all the little things nobody talks about
